John Hession has more than four decades of experience serving a wide spectrum of industrial, financial service, multinational and non-profit clients. As one of the firm’s founding partners, John is responsible for planning and timely execution, including communications with senior management and audit committees, of the engagements of the clients served by Hession & Pare.

John’s experience includes extensive consulting with both large and small businesses in the development of business strategies, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning techniques and problem resolutions with the IRS.

In addition to John’s many years of practical experience, he has contributed several articles for publication, lectured at continuing education courses for the AICPA, and has served as an expert witness in numerous court cases involving complex financial matters. His areas of expertise also include extensive experience in dealing with tax problems and planning opportunities for closely held corporation, as well as various personal and estate tax planning matters.

A lifelong baseball player and enthusiast, John is still involved in the sport through his playing in the Cape Cod Senior Softball League. He lives with his wife Ann in Bedford, and enjoys spending time with his two grown children and grandchildren.
